    Gippsland temperatures continue on their trend of temperatures being one to two degrees Celsius above their long-term averages.  This has been a fairly consistent trend over the last six months since I’ve been compiling these reports.  Weatherzone.com reports that Australia wide, our average temperatures were 2.41 degrees Celsius above the long-term averages.     East Gippsland saw good rainfalls, recording twice their usual February average.  Bairnsdale received 84 mm of rainfall in February mainly as a result of a rainfall event about the 10th of February where it recorded 55 mm over  four days.
