Since at least 4 am we have been experiencing thunderstorms and they have produced some spectacular theatre. However most of the activity hasn’t been nearby.
At 9:30 the power is out and as a consequence we cannot provide the program feed, although for the listener, we have a limited back up program.
We will be back to regular programs when the circumstances permit and we thank you for your patience.
Whenever the power goes out in a storm I find it remarkable that the linesmen do their job under such hazardous conditions and I am very grateful for that fact. I don’t understand why some people are so put out when the power is out, yes it is inconvenient, and it makes things hard, but no one has set out to impose those facts upon you. Please have a little grace and understanding and try to utilise the situation productively rather than fret upon what you can’t do.
It could be an opportunity to plan what you could do to prepare to make it easier for next time.
